April 21 - September 2, 2007 - Museum of Art & History presents " A Century by the Sea"

A special exhibit at the Santa Cruz Museum of Art & History including art, artifacts and memorabilia from the Boardwalk's 100 year history. The exhibit immerses visitors in a sea of Boardwalk related objects and offers unique insight into the rich history of Santa Cruz County. The museum is located at 705 Front Street, Santa Cruz. May, 2007 - "Behind the Scenes" Tours

Sign up for a rare opportunity to take a peek "Behind-the-Scenes" at the Boardwalk.

Tours will be offered through Santa Cruz Parks & Recreation (see their Summer Activity Guide, Page 9) and the Santa Cruz Museum of Art & History. Space is limited.

May 6, 2007 - Napa to Santa Cruz Relay
During "California's Longest Party," 12-member teams walk 24 legs (2 legs per walker, 3-7 miles each) through 28 cities and across the Golden Gate Bridge ending at the Boardwalk.

Saturday, May 19, 2007 - Salute to the Centennial
Special Events include free outdoor concert with Papa Doo Run Run, acrobatic trampoline performances, thrilling high diving acts from an 80 foot tower on the beach, and other surprises.

Thursday, June 7, 2007 - Bookshop Santa Cruz

A presentation about Boardwalk history at 7:30pm, at Bookshop Santa Cruz, downtown.

Saturday, June 9, 2007 - Centennial Gala
At the Cocoanut Grove, 6pm - Midnight. This once-in-a lifetime event features a strolling buffet dinner, and entertainment highlighting the past 100 years. The evening is a benefit for the Santa Cruz Museum of Art and History.

Saturday, June 16, 2007- Birthday Fireworks!

9pm on the Santa Cruz Main beach, right by the Boardwalk.

Friday Nights, June 22– August 31, 2007 - Pepsi Presents: Free Friday Night Bandson the Beach! brings exciting free Friday night concerts to the Boardwalk’s Beach Bandstand. Look for classic bands from the ‘60s, ‘70s, and ‘80s. (831) 423-5590. 2007 lineup to be announced by May 1.

Mondays and Tuesdays, June 25 - August 28, 2007– 1907 Nights

A local favorite! Every Monday and Tuesday night after 5 p.m., all Boardwalk rides are just 75 cents each. Hot dogs, Pepsi, and cotton candy are also just 75 cents each during these 1907 Nights.

Wednesdays* and Thursdays, June 27– August 30, 2007 – Pepsi Nights

After 5 p.m. bring in any Pepsi can to receive an Unlimited Rides wristband for just $9.95 each. *Not Valid on July 4th

June 23 - June 24, 2007 - US Sand Soccer Championships

Watch the action on the beach in front of the Boardwalk. Free!

July 8 - August 16, 2007 - Moscow Circus at the Boardwalk
The legendary Moscow Circus troupe including acrobats, contortionists, gymnasts, clowns, jugglers, and equilibrists performing two free shows a day, Sundays - Thursdays.

Sunday, July 22, 2007 - Wharf to Wharf Race

Runners race from the Boardwalk to Capitola in this popular early morning event.

The Boardwalk shows off classic cars during the 10th Annual Hot Rods at the Beach event to benefit the Santa Cruz City Police Officers’ Association. Check it out at the Boardwalk’s main parking lot on Beach Street. 10am - 5pm, Free.
 

Saturday, October 20, 2007 - 37th Annual Santa Cruz Youth Band Review

The 37th Annual Santa Cruz Youth Band Review marches from downtown Santa Cruz to the Boardwalk.  Watch high school bands from all over California starting at 8:30 a.m

November 24 - December 19, 2007- "Santa's Kingdom" & the Holiday Lights Train

Ride through town on Roaring Camp's Holiday Lights Train singing carols and sipping hot-spiced cider and finish up with a stroll through "Santa's Kingdom". You can take a photo with Santa, share some Marini's candy, play a quck round of mini-golf, or pick up a last minute gift. Train starts and ends at the Boardwalk.
