SANTA CRUZ, CA (June 17, 2010) -- The Lost Boys, one of the most popular movies ever filmed in Santa Cruz, returns to the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk on June 30, 2010. An outdoor screening of the campy vampire classic will be presented on the Santa Cruz Main Beach, in front of the Boardwalk, at 9pm.
Original cast member Corey Feldman will kick-off The Lost Boys evening at 6:30pm with his band Truth Movement on the Beach Bandstand followed by a “meet and greet” for fans. Feldman, one of the most popular child actors of the 1980s, started acting when he was 3. He is best known for his roles in movies including Gremlins, Goonies, The Lost Boys, and Stand By Me. Feldman’s Lost Boys co-star Corey Haim passed away earlier this year.
The Lost Boys is a 1987 film directed by Joel Schumacher starring Kiefer Sutherland, Dianne Wiest, Jason Patric, Jamie Gertz, Corey Feldman, and Corey Haim. Party all night. Never grow old. Never die. It's fun to be a vampire.” the movie broke new ground in the vampire film genre, receiving industry recognition for a fresh new style. The last time the movie was shown at the Boardwalk was 2007.
Truth Movement’s concert starts at 6:30pm; a “meet and greet” with Corey Feldman is scheduled for 7:30pm; The Lost Boys movie starts at 9pm. All events are free and open to the public.
