 May-Hem at the Boardwalk Bowl The Boardwalk Bowl (located across the street from the Casino Arcade) goes nuts every May and starts slashing prices. For example, "Scoops 'N Strikes" on Fridays from 3pm to 8pm serves up 2 games of bowling including shoes plus 2 scoops of local Marianne's ice cream for only $8! (Under 18? It’s just $6.50!) And on Wacky Weekends, bowl for just $2 a game (plus shoe rental) between 9am and 5pm on Saturdays and Sundays. It's a lot of fun! |

Did you know? The Casa Del Rey, a 300-room hotel located across the street from the Boardwalk, opened in 1911. Many famous actors including Mary Pickford, Cary Grant, Douglas Fairbanks, Fred MacMurray stayed at the grand hotel over the years. Eventually it became a retirement home but was irreparably damaged by the 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake. |
